- Break those Chains, Y'all;
Stop Webmails
|
We’ve all gotten them. With dire headlines,
they claim to be of vital importance to
women’s safety and urge you to pass the
information along to every woman you know.
They're referred to as Webmails and they
circulate on the Internet for years. A few
do give true and useful information. Most,
however, offer bad or dangerously incomplete
advice. Susan Bartelstone's guest today is
John Ratliff, founder of Breakthechain.org,
one of the best websites around for
debunking these false Webmails. John is
passionate about stopping the misinformation
on the Internet; educating people about the
shortcomings and dangers (yes, dangers) of
e-mail chain letters; and discouraging
individuals from sending or forwarding them.
If you've ever passed one of those e-mails
along, you'd better listen in…or else you'll
have bad luck for the next seven years!
(And, tell five of your friends.) |
